Children's Ministries

God's Kids: Children from ages 3 through kindergarten are excused from adult worship after the Children's message to participat in their own worship time.

Vacation Bible School : Each year this is held in July and the 2009 VBS had in excess of 125 children participate.

Our mission is a vision of nuturing
     Introduction young lives to the love of God
     Developing an understanding of our Lord
     Learning to apply this teaching in daily life
     Helping children grow in His love.

Church School : At Cross Roads, we have a classroom for children from ages 2 - 6th grade. We are using Gospel Light's Church School program. Children are grouped by age and grade.

Nursery : Children from birth to age 3 are encouraged to spend time in our bright cheery nursery. Our professional caregiver teaches our little ones using Gospel Light's Little Blessing curriculum.

Children's Church : Children from first grade to sixth grade meet every Sunday, but the first Sunday, which is Family Sunday. The children are excused after the Children's Message to a room where they participate in a high energy worship service geared just for them. They sing, pariticpate in amges, drama, Bible stories, and on occasion video. Mutilmedia is an integral part of this ministry.

WOW [Worship on Wednesday]

WOW is a mid-week program for children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.
WOW will meet at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church on Wednesday from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. beginning September 15 - May 19. There will be no WOW on November 24, December 22, and December 29.

WOW will be done in a rotational model - children move from one area to another -- with one Bible theme throughout the evening. The Bible theme will be in the music, DVD story time, Bible time, game and craft.
The children will meet in the Sanctuary from 4:30 - 4:50 for music, skit or DVD story.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade will have Bible time from 4:55 - 5:15 in Room 208 and from 5:20 - 5:40 will have snack and crafts in Room 209.
2nd and 3rd Grades will have Bible time from 4:55 - 5:15 in the Children’s Library and from 5:20 - 5:40 will have snack and crafts in Room 209.
4th - 6th Grades will have snack and crafts in Room 209 from 4:55 - 5:15 and from 5:20 - 5:40 will have Bible Time in Room 202.
A gathering time in the Sanctuary for the evening’s wrap up will be from 5:45 - 6:00 p.m.
Parents are encouraged to be in the Sanctuary for the closing to meet the children and to receive announcements or other information.
